How each server works

The subscription has everyday profiles and three reserves. Everyday profiles keep Russian services in Russia. A foreign site leaves through a foreign address on its own. A reserve is the opposite: everything leaves from one country.

Everyday profile

Stealth

This is the profile to leave on. In Happ it is called 443 Stealth.

Banks, Ozon, Max, and other services with a Russian address go out through Russia. The site still sees a Russian address, so login, payment, and confirmation stay as they are without a VPN.

When a site needs a foreign address, Stealth does not ask you to switch anything. That traffic automatically leaves through another, foreign address. Russian apps stay on the Russian path. Foreign ones take the bypass.

Same rules, other door

WebSocket

Turn this on when Stealth is quiet on your network. In Happ it is called WebSocket.

Banks, Ozon, Max, and the rest of the Russian services again go through Russia. A foreign site is sent out through a foreign address by itself, the same way as on Stealth. You do not pick the country by hand and you do not keep two profiles on at once.

If the first two are quiet

XHTTP and HTTPUpgrade

These are spare ways into the same exit. The rules do not change: Russia for Russian services, and a foreign address is filled in automatically when the site is abroad. Use one of them only if Stealth and WebSocket do not open on that network.

The whole connection, one country

Reserves

Stealth and WebSocket split the traffic. A reserve does not. Banks, messengers, and foreign sites all leave from the country you picked.

Reserve 1 — Zurich. All traffic goes out from Switzerland.

Reserve 2 — Amsterdam. All traffic goes out from the Netherlands.

Reserve 3 — Frankfurt. All traffic goes out from Germany.

If you want every bit of traffic to go through Zurich, Frankfurt, or Amsterdam, open Happ and connect to that reserve. For ordinary use in Russia, Stealth or WebSocket is the better fit: Russian services then do not see a foreign address.

More on this: why you no longer turn the VPN off for a bank and when a reserve is the better choice.
